Restful Sleep

Proper rest is essential for good health. Throughout the night, your body makes repairs and performs important housekeeping duties. Subtle forms of sleep deprivation can impair judgment, reduce our ability to handle stress and set the stage for a variety of health problems.

  1. Get enough rest. Get seven to eight hours of restful sleep each night.

  2. Lie on your side or back. Sleep on a firm mattress that provides proper support.

  3. Support your neck. Use a high-quality pillow to cradle the curve of your neck.

  4. Take a warm bath. A soothing bath before bedtime can promote restful sleep.

  5. Avoid television. Make sure the last impression of your day is a positive one.

  6. Sleep in the dark. Even small amounts of light can disrupt your sleep cycle.

  7. Give thanks. End the day with gratitude by giving thanks for all your blessings.

Remember, laugh and the world laughs with you. Snore, and you sleep alone!

Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Mountain View chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
